Thomas G. Bachart

Thomas G. Bachart, 44, of Las Vegas and formerly of Weatherly, passed away October 19 in Las Vegas, NV.

            Born in Hazleton, he is the son of Norman and Virginia (Evans) Bachart of Weatherly.

            Tom was a member of St. Matthew’s UCC, Weatherly.

            While in high school, Tom was a Foreign Exchange Student in Argentina in 1991. He was a graduate of Weatherly High School, class of 1992, where he was a member of the Cross-Country Team.

            He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

            Tom was employed in the restaurant industry in Las Vegas.

            Preceding him in death, was his sister Betty Jane Herring.

            Surviving, in addition to his parents, are brothers Robert and Carl Bachart, both of Weatherly; a nephew, niece and aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

             The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Matthew’s UCC, Weatherly. Pastor Sharon Frye will conduct the service.

            Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

            A calling hour will be held Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
