Stephen R. Semuta, 69, of Sugarloaf, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Stephen and Dolores (Steibler) Semuta.
Stephen was a Sargent in the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam War and was of the Catholic Faith.
He was a graduate of Hazleton High School, class of 1971 and a graduate of Wagner College in Staten Island, NY.
Prior to retiring, Stephen was employed as a Microbiologist for the VA Hospital in Wilkes Barre, PA.
He was a member of the Valley Vets Post 8161, Conyngham, and enjoyed collecting stamps, comic books, listening to music and talking politics.
Surviving are his fiancée Ann DeMauro, of Conyngham; step-daughter Shannon DeMauro of Conyhgham; sisters Rosemary Fiorilla of Allentown and Stephanie Elko of McAdoo; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Wednesday. Deacon James Warnagiris will celebrate the funeral service at the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo, at 11 a.m. Military interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas, PA.
Calling hours are Wednesday morning from 10 - 11 a.m. in the funeral Home.
