Stephen V. Condash, 98, a lifelong resident of Tresckow, passed away Thursday evening at the Manor at St. Luke Village, Hazleton.
Born in Tresckow, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Matyas) Condash.
Stephen was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo.
Stephen was first employed as a carpenter for local contractors and prior to retiring, he was employed at Urania Engineering, Hazleton.
He was a member of the Hazleton VFW, Freeland VFW, and a life member of the Tresckow Fire Co.
Preceding him in death, were his brothers John and George Condash; and sisters Elizabeth Condash, Anna Lampman, Rita Pecuch and Mary Erdman.
Surviving, are his brother Robert Condash and wife Mary Ann, of Tresckow; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
His funeral will be held Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Church of All Saints, McAdoo, at 11 a.m. by Rev. Msgr. William Baker. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s R.C. Cemetery, Tresckow.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
