Stanley W. Karmosky, 85, formerly of Still Creek, passed away Sunday morning at Mt. City Nursing and Rehab Center, Hazle Twp.
Born in McAdoo, he was the son of the Late Stanley and Mary (Orzech) Karmosky.
Stanley was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Polish National Catholic Church, McAdoo, and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
Prior to retiring, he was a dedicated Pennsylvania State Trooper for 28 years and later employed as a school bus driver.
He enjoyed building model railroads, flying remote control planes and archery shooting.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Jacqueline (Ryan) Karmosky and sister, Helen Evanco.
Surviving are his son, Kevin Karmosky and wife, Michelle of Colorado; daughter, Kristie Drazenovich and husband, Dave; stepchildren, Robert Zeiler and wife, Tracey, of McAdoo; and Rebecca Wintle and husband, Robert, of New York; grandchildren, Maggie Zeiler, and Ellis and Violet Wintle; brother, Walter Karmosky and wife Ann, of Horsham; and nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, October 29. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Ss. Peter and Paul PNC Church, McAdoo, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Boguslaw Janiec as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
