Beloved Rose Marie Mashack, 91, of Still Creek, passed away Tuesday afternoon at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Crystal Ridge, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen Kapuschinsky.
She was a member of St. Mary’s U.C. Church, McAdoo.
Prior to retiring, Rose Marie was a hairdresser and along with her husband, She helped to maintain the family farm for over 50 years.
Rose Marie was a member of the Third Order of Franciscans, Sybertsville.
She was a devoted and loving, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be sadly missed by all. She was committed to caring for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She treasured passing on family traditions in cooking, baking, values, and religious traditions. No one left hungry from her home. She was the peace maker in all families and a gift from God.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Andrew Mashack, daughter Patricia Mashack; sisters, Barbara Trovitch, and Elizabeth Ustonifsky; brothers, Edward, William Jr., Harry, and Raymond Kapuschinsky.
Surviving, are her children, Andrew Mashack and wife Ann of Bel Air, MD; Robert Mashack and wife Candace of Round Hill, VA; Rose Ann Alabovitz and husband Leonard of Still Creek; Thomas Mashack and wife JoAnne of Still Creek; Beverly Bates and husband Kory of Hometown; Mary Ann Gimbel and husband Paul of Still Creek; Joyce Minehan and Late husband, Dominic, of Australia; Carol Mattrazzo and husband David of Weatherly; Paul Mashack and wife Mary Kate of Bloomsburg; George Mashack and wife Maria of Moseley, VA; Jon Mashack and wife Sheila of Quakake; and Marvin Mashack and wife Terri of Milton, FL; 35 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters Julia Clouser of Hometown, Helen Collins of Berwick and Joyce Velcko of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s U.C. Church, McAdoo. The Rev. D. George Worschak will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
No public calling hours will be held.
