Robert Kasarda, 77, of McAdoo, passed away Sunday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the Late John and Helen (Christina) Kasarda. Robert was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo.
Prior to retiring from KME Fire Apparatus, Nesquehoning, Robert was employed as a plumber for many years.
He was a longtime member of the Pipefitters Union, Plumbers Union and the Steamfitters, Pipefitters and Plumbers United Assoc., Local Union 524. Robert was also a life member of the McAdoo Fire Company, where he served as Past President.
Preceding him in death were his son, Robert J. “Bobby” Kasarda, and brothers, John, Richard and Vincent Kasarda.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Margaret (Billig) Kasarda; grandson, Nicholas J. Kasarda, Tresckow; sisters, Bernadine Kisatsky, Harleigh; Eleanor Sandrock and husband, Robert, Quakake, and Mary Vito and husband, Carmen, Beech Mountain; brother, Ronald Kasarda, Tresckow; and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Friday, February 27. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in Church of All Saints, McAdoo. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
A calling hour will be held Friday, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
