Philip Franz Deisroth, 75, of McAdoo, passed away Sunday at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Philip Maue and Grace (Muller) Deisroth.
He was of the Lutheran faith and a graduate of MMI.
From a young man, Franz was always helping with the family business, the former Deisroth’s Department Store, Hazleton. He earned a degree in accounting and began his career in Massachusetts before retiring from Scout Management, MA.
Franz had earned his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying piper aircrafts. He had a true passion for flying and loved spending his time at the Hazleton Airport. Franz was also an avid NASCAR and New England Patriots fan. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Jon Bon Jovi.
He had a sharp wit, sarcastic humor and loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed by all.
Preceding him in death were his sisters Linda Ames Weiner and Barbara Deisroth.
Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Roseanne (Lotito) Deisroth; sons, Matthew T. Morhart and wife Holly, of New York; James W. Morhart and wife Lori, of McAdoo; and Thomas Huckemeyer and wife Jess, of MA; 11 amazing grandchildren; 2 nieces; and 8 “Dysfunction Junction” graduates, he and his wife helped mentor into adulthood.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
