Peter J. Dowger, 58, of McAdoo, passed away suddenly Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton, he is the son of Patricia (Dvorshak) Dowger, McAdoo, and the late Peter Dowger.
Peter was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo and a 1983 graduate of Hazleton High School.
He was currently employed at Michael’s Distribution Center, Hazle Twp.
Peter was an avid Penn State fan and attended many home football games. He also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved listening to music, especially Polkas, and going to concerts.
Peter always looked forward to family holiday dinners, and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephew.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his sister Michele Winchilla of Drifton; nieces Sarah and Natalie and nephew Robert; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His funeral will be held Monday. Rev. Msgr. William Baker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial in Church of All Saints, McAdoo, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary of the Assumption R.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.
Calling hours are Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
