Patricia A. (Martin) Winnington

Patricia A. Winnington, 91, of Weatherly and formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away Saturday at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late John and Marguerite (Handlin) Martin, and a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo.

Patricia was a devoted homemaker for her family. She loved to spend her summers camping and volunteering at Rosemount Campground, Lewistown Valley. She was also a life-member of 5 Points Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Wilmington, and a member of the Prime Timers, McAdoo. She enjoyed traveling, cruising and visiting family in South Carolina. Patricia, along with her husband Donald, enjoyed playing Santa and Mrs. Claus for 60+ years at Christmas time. 

Preceding her in death, were her husband, Donald G. Winnington Sr; and brother, Jack Martin.

Surviving are her daughter, Deborah Hutto of Lexington, SC; sons, Donald G. Winnington Jr. of Wilmington, DE; Steven Winnington and wife, Barbara of Wilmington, DE; and Michael Winnington and wife, Mary of Chapin, SC; daughter, Diann Belsak and husband, Andrew of New Ringgold; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Marlene Phillips of Wilmington, DE; and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 19, at 11:30 a.m. in Church of All Saints, McAdoo, by Rev. Barnabas Shayo. Interment will follow in St. Matthew’s Union Cemetery, Weatherly.

A calling hour will be held Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church.
