Michael A. "Mikey" Burk

Michael A. “Mikey” Burk, 20, of Hazleton, passed away suddenly on October 6, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

Born in Hazleton, he is the son of Timothy R. Burk and the Late Cecile (Bloom) Burk.

Mikey enjoyed spending time and goofing around with his cousins. He was always making people smile and laugh, and always willing to lend a helping hand.  He will be sadly missed by all.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, David and Mary Faith Bloom.

Surviving, in addition to his father, are sisters Alyssa Drasher, of Freeland; and Mary Faith Burk, of Florida; paternal grandfather Timothy A. Burk and wife Michelle, of Florida; paternal grandmother Christine Burk, of Hazleton; and aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Faith Church, 202 Carbon St., Weatherly. Pastor Sal Reyes will officiate.

Calling hours are Saturday 12 to 2 p.m. in the church.
