Mark S. "Mousie" Schmeer

 Mark S. “Mousie” Schmeer, Sr., 55, of Kelayres, passed away Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

            Born in Hazleton, he was the son of Bernadine (Befano) Schmeer of Kelayres and the late Karl Schmeer.

            Mark was of the Roman Catholic faith. He was employed with area contractors as a carpenter.

             He was a fan of Grateful Dead music and considered himself a “Deadhead”.

             Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his son Mark S. Schmeer, Jr. of Kelayres; brother Richard Schmeer of McAdoo; and nieces and nephews also survive.

             Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
