Marie Lettiere, 94, of Kelayres and formerly of Hazleton, passed away Saturday at Forest Hills Rehab. and Healthcare Center, Weatherly.
Born in Kelayres, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Damico) Scarlato, and a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Hazleton.
Prior to retiring, she worked alongside her husband at Kapes Auto Electric, Hazleton.
Marie was an avid bowler and also loved to golf. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt and will be sadly missed by all.
Preceding her in death, were her husband, James Lettiere; brothers, Michael, Joseph, Louis, Charles, Samuel, Angelo and Paul Scarlato; sisters, Rose Alampi and Josephine Scarlato; nephew, Michael J. Scarlato; and niece, Mary Theresa Mitchell.
Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Oswald and husband Alan of Kelayres; grandchildren, Christopher Wallace and wife, Megan of Tampa, FL; and James Wallace and wife, Miriam of Bella Vista, AR; great-grandchildren, Elena, Troy, and Dante; and many nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10, at 10 a.m. at Capriotti’s Cappella, One Banks Ave., McAdoo. Pastor Lance Moyer will conduct the service. Interment will be held privately in St. Gabriel’s R.C. Cemetery, Hazleton.
A calling hour will be held Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at The Cappella.
