Marian H. Soika, 71, of Haddock, passed away suddenly Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel (Kostick) Kutzko. Marian was a devout catholic and a faithful member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo.
Prior to retiring, she was employed for over 28 years at Quebecor Printing, Hazleton.
Marian enjoyed crocheting and working on puzzle books. She especially loved spending time with her husband, whether they were out mushroom picking or attending car shows together. She will be remembered as a wonderful listener, always offering her time and understanding to her family and friends.
Marian was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and she will be sadly missed by all.
Preceding her in death, were her sister, Ethel Kovalick and nephew, Gerald Maggio.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Joseph M. Soika; daughter, Michelle Argust and husband, Robert Jr. of Tamaqua; son, Jason Soika and wife, Janell of Haddock; grandchildren, Robert III and Haley Argust, and Kaulder Soika; sister, Kathy Kutsko of Hazleton; nieces and nephews; and loyal pets, Amber and Magic.
Her funeral will be held Monday, May 4, beginning at 10:30 a.m. from the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Barnabas Shayo at 11 a.m. in Church of All Saints, McAdoo. Interment will follow in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, May 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
