****CHANGE IN FUNERAL SERVICE DUE TO THE IMPENDING WEATHER****
Margaret Pellock, 94, of McAdoo, passed away Saturday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Julia (Harmonosky) Pellock.
She was a graduate of McAdoo High School, class of 1942.
Margaret was a member of St. Michael’s B.C. Church, McAdoo, where she was a member of the Sodality Society and the choir.
Prior to retiring, she was employed at Tung-Sol of Weatherly for 35 years.
Margaret spent time praying and reciting the rosary and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a dedicated Pirohi maker for many years for St. Michael’s parish. Margaret enjoyed spending her time crocheting, doing puzzles and she also loved to watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
Margaret was the last surviving member of her immediate family and she will be greatly missed.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her
brothers John, Stephen, George, Michael, and Joseph Pellock, and sisters Anna Fedashko, Mary Kalanisko and Verna Gutosky.
Surviving are her niece, Betty May Polumbo and husband Mark, McAdoo, with whom Margaret resided; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews also survive.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., Blaine and Cleveland Streets, McAdoo. Rev. Gregory Hosler will be the celebrant of the Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s B.C. Church, McAdoo at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in St. Michael’s B.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. A Parastas Service will be held at 6 p.m.
