Leo A. Malatesta Jr.

1937 - 2025

Leo Anthony Malatesta Jr., 88, formerly of Kelayres, entered into eternal rest Thursday
morning in the VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Born in Kelayres, he was the last living sibling of the late Leo Anthony Sr. and Jennie
(Jump) Malatesta.

He attended McAdoo High School and King's College. 

He was a United States Navy Veteran Serving during the Korean War.

He was a member of the McAdoo Fire Company and the McAdoo VFW Post 6708.

Leo enjoyed playing golf, watching all sports, and fishing and especially loved his time
spent with his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was a granddaughter Kayla Bahrey, sisters Kathryn Cara, Elaine
Holloman, Mary Chaykin, Connie Patton, and Margaret Shulzitski, and brothers Louis, Vincent,
John, and Joseph.

Surviving are a daughter Mary Kay Corbett of McAdoo; sons Leo A. III and his wife Linda of
Berwick, John of Ashley, and Joseph of Pittston, granddaughters Jessica Bahrey, Heather
Condo, and Shianna Corbett; great grandchildren Bentley Merenda, Ryder Condo, Kailani
Melici, Stella and Levi Hoffman, and Ophelia Vargas; and several nieces and nephews.

A Service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be held in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, McAdoo.
