Kathleen Anne (Minor) Cooney

Kathleen Anne (Minor) Cooney, 60, of Tamaqua, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Thomas R. Cooney III. They celebrated their 12th Wedding Anniversary on July 22 of this year.  She was a member of All Saints Parish, McAdoo where she was last employed as the church secretary. Kathy was a 1976 graduate of Marian High School and then furthered her education and graduated from Marywood University in 1980 with a degree in Psychology.  She was an avid seamstress, artist, and had a great love for animals. She also loved swimming and the seashore having recently vacationed in Ocean City, Maryland. Kathy was a fun loving person who always had a good sense of humor and a passion for adventure. Known for her Irish Toughness and Stubbornness, Kathy was a pillar of strength to her family and close friends. She will be extremely missed by all.

Surviving along with her husband is a sister Mary Minor of McAdoo; a brother William Minor and his wife Cheryl of Quakake; stepdaughters Jennifer Betz and her husband Mark and Brianna Boyce and her husband Adam all of Hometown; step-grandchildren Lucas, Natalie and Julia; and her dogs Teddy and Holly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 6, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in All Saints Parish, 17 N. Cleveland St., McAdoo, PA with the The Rev. Gerard McGlone officiating and Msgr. William Baker con-celebrating.  Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, McAdoo. Calling will be held Monday from 10 to 11 A.M. in the church.
