Judy A. Nork, 70, of Hazle Twp., passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton, surrounded by her loving family, after a two-year battle with cancer.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Irene (Walko) Trisko.
Judy was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Hazleton.
Prior to retiring, she was the office manager at Nork Chiropractic, Hazleton, and a dental surgical assistant for Bernard M. Carr, DDS, Hazleton.
Judy was an active member of the Hazleton Blind Assoc. and served as the first female President of the organization. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church Choir, of Harleigh, where she was also a volunteer for their kitchen crew.
In her younger years, Judy was always active with Little League and soccer events for her children, working the ‘stands’ and other fundraisers.
Judy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and Aunt, and will be sadly missed by all.
Preceding her in death, was her brother John F. Trisko.
Surviving, are her husband of 50 years, Dr. Leonard J. Nork; sons Sean L. Nork and wife Tara, of Madison, AL; and Justin J. Nork, D.O., Cdr., Navy Medical Corps. and wife Melissa, of Coronado, CA; daughter Keri R. Nork, of Hazle Twp.; grandchildren Gabriele, Collin, Samuel, and Francesca Nork; and nephew Christopher Trisko and wife Eileen, and grand-nephew Paul Trisko, all of Forked River, NJ.
Her funeral will be held Friday, June 23, 2023. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Hazleton, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
A calling hour will be held Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church.
