Joseph M. Vigna

Joseph M. Vigna, 60, of Old Forge and formerly of Kline Twp., passed away suddenly Friday at his residence. 

Born in Hazleton, he is the son of Roseann (Sabatell) Vigna, of Kline Twp. and the late Russell Vigna.

He was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo. 

Joe was employed at International Hearing Testing.

He was a graduate of Hazleton High School, class of 1981. Joe was a three-sport athlete, exceling in football, basketball and baseball. He attended Lock Haven University, where he continued playing baseball. Joe also coached junior high basketball at the former Grebey Jr. High School.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his father, was a brother Russell ‘Rusty’ Vigna.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his brother, Anthony Vigna and wife Dawn, Haddock; sister, Francine Geusic and husband Joe, Tresckow; sister-in-law, Patty Vigna, Kelayres; nephews Russell ‘Rusty’ Vigna and wife Amanda, Joshua Geusic and wife Angela, and Evan Vigna and fiancée Abby Ciarlone; and nieces Adria Folk and husband Joe, and Sarah Herring and husband George; and great-nephew Miles Geusic.

His funeral will be held Wednesday. The Rev. Michael J. Kloten will conduct the service at 11 a.m. at the Damiano Funeral Home, Inc., McAdoo. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s R.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.

A calling hour will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
