Joseph A. Reale, 90, of Kelayres, sadly passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in Kelayres, he was the son of the late Charles and Lena (Villano) Reale.
He was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Army stationed in Italy.
Prior to retiring, he was first employed by Tung Sol, Weatherly and Morgan Knitting Mills, Tamaqua, and later at General Foam, Hazleton.
Joe was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo. He was very devoted to his faith and the love of our Lord. This gentle, loving, caring, and wonderful man left a permanent mark etched in our hearts and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Joe lived his life by the example of Christ, in everything he did and said. He always held the highest integrity in the love of our Lord, his church and the greatest respect for people. Truly, we lost a good one.
Preceding him in death, are sisters Mary Pikna, Florence David, Madeline Wilkinson and June Reale.
Surviving, are his beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many good friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Monday at 12 p.m. in Church of All Saints, McAdoo, by Rev. Msgr. William Baker. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, McAdoo.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Damiano Funeral Home, Inc., McAdoo.
