Joseph Pritulsky Obituary

Joseph F. Pritulsky, 96, of McAdoo, passed away Sunday morning at Greenwood Center for Nursing and Rehab, Hometown.

Born in McAdoo, he was the son of the Late Steve and Helen (Sterlock) Pritulsky.

Joseph was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo, and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.

A hardworking man, he began his career as a truck driver in the coal mining industry. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a carpenter and homebuilder for many years.

He was a member of the former McAdoo American Legion, the Prime Timers and the McAdoo Centennial Committee.

Joseph was a kind man who loved volunteering and helping kids.  He enjoyed woodworking and crafting wooden toys for children. He also loved biking with his grandchildren.  He also shared that joy by repairing bicycles and gifting them to the neighborhood kids.  Joe and his wife Frances spent many evenings playing board games with his children and grandchildren. Whenever friends and family came to town, they knew they were always welcome in his home.

Joe was always there to help his family and friends with any kind of home repair.  He helped in the remodeling of the former St. Patrick’s School when his girls attended there.

Preceding him in death were his wife of 68 years, Frances (Musial) Pritulsky; son-in-law, Henry Ziolkowski; brothers, John, Stephen and James Pritulsky; sisters, Violet Zrinsky, Marian Gardner, and Cecelia Pritulsky.

Surviving are his daughters, Karen Ziolkowski of Hanover Twp. PA, Joanne O’Connor, and husband Joseph of Springfield, VA, and Debora Ervin, and husband Mark of Pennsburg, PA; grandchildren, Megan, Eileen, Jessie, Emily, and Allen; great-grandchildren, Harper, Ellie, Lia, Wesley and Daphne; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Friday, November 7. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo, with Rev. Barnabas Shayo as the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s R.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.

A calling hour will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home.
