John S. Evanco, 65, of Kingston and formerly of Haddock, passed away suddenly Thursday evening at his home.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the Late John R. and Helen A. (Karmosky) Evanco.
John graduated from Hazleton High School in 1978. He attended Luzerne Community College and was a U.S. Navy veteran who studied nuclear technology.
A proprietor of kindness, energy, and love, John is the owner and founder of Good Vibes with Lobes, offering Shamanic Consultations, Energy Healing, Medicine Card Reading, and guided meditations. He was always progressive and sharing enlightenment with a kind heart. John cherished and loved spending time with his daughter, granddaughters, family, and friends, as well as many hobbies, from the beginnings of skateboarding to loving skiing, camping, photography, and playing and forming disk golf leagues. John always appreciated nature, loving music and volunteering to peaceful causes. He also enjoyed attending music festivals, always making good friends!
Preceding him in death was a niece, Jessica Linkhorst. Surviving are his daughter, Cynthia Wilson of Kingston; grandchildren, Elliot James and Amelie Ann Wilson, and Melanie Grace Zakarauskas; sisters, Debra Neary and husband, James of Mahanoy City; Janet Evanco of Montana; and Mary Beth Evanco of Barnesville; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 5, at 6:30 p.m. at the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo. A calling hour will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
