John Porcari

John Porcari, 78, a lifelong resident of Kelayres, passed away Wednesday morning at Mt. City Nursing Center, Hazleton.

             Born in Kelayres, he was the son of the late Frank and Rose (Credidio) Porcari.

            John was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo and a former member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Kelayres.

            John enjoyed church activities and picnics, playing cards and bingo, and polka music and dancing. He also loved to help out his neighbors.

            Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were a brother Frank Porcari and sisters Lucy Martin and Marlene Pucher.

            Surviving, are nieces and nephews Robert Martin and wife Kimberly of Drums; Tom, David and Michael Pucher, Linda Jernigan, Rose Wallace and Arlene Jamieson; and several great-nieces and nephews also survive.

            His funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Damiano Funeral Home, Inc., Blaine and Cleveland Sts., McAdoo.  The Rev. Msgr. William Baker will be the celebrant of the Mass of Christian Burial in Church of All Saints, McAdoo at 11 a.m.

            A calling hour will be held Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
