John Andrew Kalinchok, 69, of McAdoo, passed away Monday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late John and Lucy M. (Cherico) Kalinchok.
John served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
Prior to retiring, he was employed as a manager at Boyer’s Food Markets of McAdoo, for many years.
John was a passionate gardener, he enjoyed caring for his vegetable and flower garden every year. He looked forward to canning in the Fall. In his younger years, John would spend many hours picking mushrooms.
Surviving, are his wife of 48 years, Anita (Cusatis) Kalinchok; daughter Christina Kalinchok and lifelong partner Brian Malecki of Brooklyn, NY; son John Anthony Kalinchok of Allentown; brother Robert Kalinchok and wife Sharon of Conyngham; many nieces and nephews; and his loyal dog, Garfield.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
