Jean (Hladish) Durishin, 85, of Tresckow, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning at The Pavilion at St. Luke’s Village, Hazleton.
Born in Haddock, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Mostovick) Hladish.
Jean was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Hazleton and also the former St. Michael’s R.C. Church, Tresckow.
Prior to retiring, she was employed as a seamstress for many garment factories throughout the area.
Jean enjoyed traveling and taking care of her vegetable garden but especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, and friend, and will be sadly missed by all.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Donald J. Durishin (August 1, 2009) and brothers John and Peter Hladish.
Surviving, are daughters, Lisa Durishin of Northampton and Nadine Durishin of Tresckow; sisters, Martha Kushnar, Mary Dvorak, and Lubow Powers; lifelong friend Francine Walukiewicz; sister-in-law Margie Hladish; and also, several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday. Rev. Brian Clarke will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Hazleton. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s R.C. Cemetery, Tresckow.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church.
