Janet R. (Farnish) Amos-Michalski

Janet R. Amos-Michalski (nee Farnish) passed away on March 17, 2021. Born in McAdoo, PA on September 13, 1942, the second child of Joseph and Regina (O’shaughnessy) Farnish. Janet attended St. Patrick’s grade school in McAdoo and graduated from Marian Catholic High School. Janet was employed by the Hazelton Penna. Association of the Blind. Janet was married to Donald L. Amos of Audenried, PA for 30 years and had one child Kevin D. Amos and relocated to Riva, Maryland. She was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville, MD where she taught CCD; was an Eucharist Minister to the sick; and was a member of the Music Ministry. Janet remarried to Andrew R. Michalski for 24 years and lived in Lodge Forest, MD. Janet will be lovingly missed by her sisters, Lorraine Lychok of McAdoo, PA; sister-in-law Janet M. Farnish, Mountville, PA; her 2 nephews, Joseph M. And Beth Farnish; Stephen T. and Karen Farnish and 2 Nieces, Lisa Hollinger of Manheim, PA; and Deborah Steinmez of Mountville, PA; she was predeceased by a brother, Joseph S. Farnish of Lancaster, PA. She leaves behind 2 grandchildren, Jessica Amos Adkins and Daniel Brian Amos who were her pride and endless joy. She loved being a grandmother, singing, reading, studying the Bible, interior designing, traveling and most especially “Gramma Days”.

Friends may visit at Damiano Funeral Home 24 E. Blaine Street McAdoo, PA 18237 on Friday March 26, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where a funeral service will be held at 1 PM. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
