Jane L. (Maurer) Kotz

Jane L. Kotz, 90, of McAdoo and formerly of Beaver Brook, passed away Saturday at Bethlehem South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Elizabeth (Horlacher) Maurer. She was of the Protestant faith.

Prior to retiring, she was employed for Butler Valley Nursing Home for 26 years.

Jane was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, and will be sadly missed by all.

Preceding her in death were her husband Alfred J. Kotz, daughter Debra Elko and grandson Jason Elko.

Surviving are her daughter, Ruth Kotz of Bethlehem; son, James “Kotzie” Kotz of McAdoo; grandchildren, Marleen Yatsko and Maurice Kotz; great-granddaughter, Delilah Yatsko; sister, Betty Maurer of McAdoo; brothers, William Maurer and wife Elaine of Beaver Brook; and Donald Maurer and wife Bonnie of McAdoo; son-in-law, James Elko of McAdoo; and nieces and nephews also survive.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
