James V. Prokipchak

James V. Prokipchak, 55, formerly of McAdoo, passed away Saturday at Mt. City Nursing Center, Hazle Twp.

         Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the Late Paul G. and Mary Carol (Kelley) Prokipchak.

         James was a Hazleton High School graduate, class of 1981.

         He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and of the Ukrainian Catholic faith.

         He was employed for various local companies over the years.

         Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was a brother Timothy Prokipchak.

         Surviving, are his brother Paul Prokipchak and fiancée Ellen Mendofik, Hazleton; nieces and nephew Heather, Carissa and Kyle Prokipchak; aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. 

         No public services are scheduled.
