James F. ‘Jamie’ Marion, of Hazle Twp., passed away Friday after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 67, with his wife by his side, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton, he is the son of the late James F. and Betty (Santilli) Marion.
Jamie is a 1973 graduate of Hazleton High School and of the Roman Catholic faith.
Prior to retiring in 2020, he was employed at Phillips Lighting, Mountaintop. Jamie was also employed for many years at Hazlewood Farms/General Mills Bakery.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Elizabeth (Polimeno) Marion; sister Marybeth Korn and husband Ed, of Long Island, NY; and a son Jonathan Marion, his wife and two grandsons, of TN.
He will be deeply missed by his four fur babies: BooBoo, Bella, Gracie and Lucy.
Jamie was a longtime, avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Boston Red Sox.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
