Jacob J. Yaskanich, 90, of West Hazleton, and formerly of Junedale, passed away Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in New York, NY, he was the son of Paul and Anna (Samec) Yaskanich.
Jacob was a proud veteran in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.
Prior to retiring, he was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic at Summit Utility Structures of West Hazleton.
Jacob enjoyed taking his daily walks and spending quiet time reading.
Preceding him in death, were his wife, Mary (Cisar) Yaskanich; and two sisters.
Surviving are his sons, Paul of Washington; and David and wife, Nancy of West Hazleton; daughter, Maryann Courson of DeBary, FL; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Private services to be held at the convenience of the family.
