Irene (Sabo) Kondash

Irene Kondash, 81, of Tresckow, passed away Saturday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

Born in Pond Creek, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Geshel) Sabo.

Irene was a former member of St. Michael’s R.C. Church, Tresckow.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed.

Preceding her in death, were her husband Joseph Kondash; great-grandson Leland; brothers Jack and William Geshel, and Raymond and Joseph Sabo; and sisters Gladys Haganey and Grace Dropinski.

Surviving are her daughter Mary Kondash of Tresckow; son Raymond Kondash and wife Linda of Tresckow; daughters Christine Parosky and husband Paul of Hazle Brook; Danielle Whitenight and fiancé John Motto of Hazleton; and Amanda Hottenstein and fiancé Chris Sweet of Tresckow; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Clarence Sabo of Hazleton; sisters Emily Adomshick and Elsie Marley, both of Freeland; and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday. The Rev. Msgr. William Baker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Church of All Saints, McAdoo. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s R.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.

A calling hour will be held Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
