Howard T. 'Sam' Stinnett Jr.

Howard T. ‘Sam’ Stinnett Jr., 60, of Hazleton, passed away Saturday evening at the Pavilion at St. Luke Village, Hazleton. 

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Geraldine ‘Mickey’ (Sparling) and Howard T. ‘Howie’ Stinnett Sr.

Sam was a US Navy veteran and of the Protestant faith.

He was employed at Hayden Electric, Hazleton for many years.

Preceding him in death, was a great nephew, Daniyyel Stutz.

Surviving are his daughter Samantha Stinnett; granddaughters McKenna and Madelyn Snyder; stepdaughters Jeanne Matteo, Jennifer Lane, and Michelle Tarone; 6 step-grandchildren; sisters, Amy Krum and husband Paul, and Sue Heller, all of Hazle Twp; niece Kathryn Stutz and husband Jon, nephew Thomas Krum and wife Kristin, and niece Jennifer Phillips; two great-nieces and two great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 22, at 11 a.m. at the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo. Interment will follow in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
