Helen (Petruncio) Sabulsky

Helen Sabulsky, 93, of McAdoo, passed away Tuesday morning at the Manor at St. Luke Village, Hazleton. 

Born in McAdoo, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ella (Prokopich) Petruncio.

Helen was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo, and a graduate of McAdoo High School, class of 1946.  

She was a member of the Polonaise Society and the Anthracite Polka Assoc.  During her younger years, she enjoyed attending polka dances with her husband Vincent.

Helen was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Vincent A. Sabulsky; daughter Elizabeth Benko; brothers Peter and Thomas Petruncio; and sisters Anna Bachovin, Julia Slovik, and Mary Petruncio.

Surviving, are her children Irene Macus and husband Joseph of Allentown; and Thomas V. Sabulsky, Sr. and wife Marion; Lois Sabulsky; Keith Sabulsky and wife Patricia; Vincent A. Sabulsky, Jr. and wife Charlene; and Kevin Sabulsky and wife Heather, all of McAdoo; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cats, Martha and Max.

Her funeral will be held Monday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in Church of All Saints, McAdoo. Rev. Msgr. William Baker will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s U.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.

No public calling hours will be held.
