Harold R. Davis, 82, of Hazle Twp., our loving father and grandfather, peacefully passed from our lives to be reunited with the love of his life, our loving mother and grandmother, Gloria.
Born in Beaver Brook, he was the son of the Late Thomas S. and Katherine R. (Stauffer) Davis.
He was a member of Welsh Congregational Church, Hazle Twp.
Harold was a veteran in the U.S Army and the PA National Guard. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Prior to retiring, he was first employed as a heavy equipment operator and then an independent truck driver.
Harold and Gloria enjoyed ballroom dancing, traveling, shopping, and many joyous get-togethers with family and friends. Harold also enjoyed singing hymns, gardening, his puppies and woodworking. He was always there to help a family member or a friend. He knew how to party and have fun with all those he loved.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his wife Gloria B. (Skitzki) Davis; infant son Harold Davis; Grandson Nathaniel Davis; sister Bladwyn Herring; and brothers Thomas, David, and Kenneth Davis.
Surviving, are his children, Gloria Gogola and husband Stephen, of Parkesburg; Ronald Davis and wife Becky, of Lehighton; Annette Kakaley and husband Jeff, of Hazle Twp.; Chris Davis and wife Christel, of Freeland; Cheryl Reinhart and husband Michael, of McAdoo; and Susan Davis and companion Roger Wolter, of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Jacob Gogola, Rachel Jagoe, Jeffrey and Daniel Kakaley, Kyle Davis, and Rebecca and Michael Reinhart; great-grandchildren, Emily and Vivienne Jagoe, and Adam Gogola; nieces and nephews also survive.
The Rev. Melvin S. Mundie will conduct the funeral service Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Damiano Funeral Home, Blaine and Cleveland Sts., McAdoo. Interment will follow in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
