Geraldine M. Dormer, 77, of Beaver Brook, passed away Thursday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Veronica Honish.
Gerry was a faithful member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, and a dedicated member of the parish choir and Mercy Choir. She was also a longtime member of the former St. Mary of the Assumption R.C. Church, McAdoo, and the parish choir.
Gerry was a graduate of Hazle Twp. High School, class of 1962 and McCann School of Business, class of 1963.
Prior to retiring, she was employed as a Bookkeeper at Beltrami Enterprises for many years, and last employed at Hazleton Oil Salvage.
Gerry had a deep devotion to her faith and love of the Blessed Mother. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and she will be sadly missed by all.
Preceding her in death, were her husband James E. Dormer, Sr.; and brother Robert Honish and his wife Mary.
Surviving are her sons James E. Dormer, Jr. and his wife Joann of Hazleton; and Jeremy Dormer of Beaver Brook; daughter Michelle Kondash and husband David of Freeland; grandchildren Dory Harman, Ralph Bianco, Ashley Wanca, and Megan Kubitsky; great-grandchildren Michelle, Vanessa, Hopie, Envianna, Avery and Maddox; brother Charles Honish and wife Joan of Douglasville; and nieces and nephews also survive.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo. Rev. Msgr. William Baker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Church of All Saints, McAdoo. Interment will follow in St. Mary of the Assumption Cemetery, McAdoo.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
