Francis ‘Francy’ Bozar, 82, of Hazleton, passed away at home after a two-year battle with cancer.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the Late Andrew and Verna (Gojdic) Bozar.
Francy was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, McAdoo.
Prior to retirement from Dana Corp., he was also employed at Barrett Haentjens & Co., and Urania, all of Hazleton.
Francy was a devoted husband and loved serenading his family playing the accordion and organ. He enjoyed cooking and always trying a new recipe. A true car enthusiast, Francy loved his Chevy Nomads and Buick National vehicles.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Marilyn (Yeager) Bozar; sister, Pearl Mitton of VA; sister, Andrea Morrow and husband, Dwight of Waynesboro; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, McAdoo, by Rev. Mark Fesniak on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
No calling hours will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Mary’s U.C. Church, 210 W. Blaine St., McAdoo, PA 18237.
