Evelyn W. (Wydick) Ogrodnick

         Evelyn W. Ogrodnick, 95, formerly of McAdoo and Hazleton, passed away Friday afternoon at Hometown Nursing Center.

         Born in West Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Ann (Parrish) Wydick.

         Evelyn attended grade school at St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Hazleton and attended West Hazleton High School.

         She was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo, and the former St. Kunegunda’s R.C. Church, McAdoo.

         Prior to retiring, she was first employed at Reidler Knitting Mills and later McAdoo Manufacturing.

         Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Valentine Ogrodnick; brothers John, Andrew, Joseph, Michael, George and Peter Wydick; and sisters Mary Gallo and Anna Rockovich.

         Surviving, are her son Jerome V. Ogrodnick and wife Beverly of McAdoo; daughter Frances Lichard and husband David of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren Jer Ogrodnick and wife Yraida; David Ogrodnick; and Lee Ann Matchick and husband Robert; great-granddaughter Paige Matchick; and nieces and nephews.

         Funeral services will be held at a later date and announced by the Damiano Funeral Home, Inc., McAdoo.
