Esther Henry

Esther Henry, 79, of Junedale, passed away Tuesday morning at Weatherwood Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Weatherly. 

Born in Junedale, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine (Soditus) Henry.

Esther was a graduate of West Hazleton High School and was of the Protestant faith.

Prior to retiring, she was employed as a dietary aid for several area nursing homes.

Through the years, Esther loved to donate her hair to “Locks of Love”, her favorite charity.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her siblings, Ursula Kairewich, Dorothy DeAngelo, Daniel Henry, Jr., Leon Henry, Sr., and Catherine Strahan.

Surviving, are her sister with whom she resided, and last surviving member of their immediate family, Eva Henry of Junedale; sisters-in-law Virginia Henry (Daniel) and Amelia Henry (Leon), both of Junedale; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Ss. Peter and Paul P.N.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.
