Edward J. Stefanisko

Edward J. Stefanisko, 65, of Hazleton, passed away Saturday morning at Greenwood Center, Hometown. 

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Edward G. and Marie (Koren) Stefanisko.

Prior to retiring, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for several coal mining companies for over 20 years.

Edward was a hard worker and enjoyed spending his time working on projects in his garage.

Preceding him in death were his niece, Kristy Kunkel.

Surviving are his sister, Donna Kunkel and husband Mark, Weatherly; sister and caregiver, Marlene Stefanisko, Hazleton; nephew, Kyle Kunkel and wife Lynzee, and great-nephew Bryce, and great-niece Aynzlee; aunts, Arlene Krolick and Gina Stefanisko; and several cousins.

As per Edward’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.
