Dorothy Ann (Salkowski) Tutko

Dorothy Ann Tutko, 93, of Carolina Shores, NC, and formerly of West Hazleton, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025.

Born May 1, 1932, in West Hazleton, she was one of twelve children to Bruno and Mary Salkowski. 

Dorothy enjoyed camping with her husband and playing Bingo with her girlfriends. She was a good cook with her cast iron frying pans and her specialty was potato pancakes.

She is survived by her daughter, Anna Marie Lurix, and her wonderful husband, Edward; grandsons, E.J. and Brian; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Harold Tutko in 1997 and 11 siblings.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 16, at 10 a.m. at the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo. Rev Boguslaw Janiec will officiate. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist PNC Cemetery, Hazleton.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
