Donna M. (Takach) Brill

Donna M. Brill, 76, of Tresckow, passed away Monday morning at St. Luke’s Miners Hospital, Coaldale.

Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Zreliak) Takach and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hazleton.

Donna was first employed at Hazleton General Hospital and prior to retiring, she was employed as a Paraprofessional in the Hazleton Area School District.

In her younger years, Donna danced the weekend away with the Polskie Swingmasters and the Fall Guys Band. She loved cooking, baking and canning for her family, and you never left her home hungry. 

Devoted to her Catholic faith, Donna enjoyed watching daily masses with her loyal cat “Noel” by her side. She also loved to watch the Hallmark channel and always enjoyed her favorite meal of breakfast. 

Preceding her in death was her brother James Takach.

Surviving are her daughter, Tara (Brill) Anderson and husband Robert, of Weatherly; son, Eric Brill, of Kelayres; grandchildren, Franklin and Angela Brill, and Jocelyn Williams; sister, Betty Jane Tokach, of Treckow, with whom she resided; brother, Larry Tokach and wife Elaine, of Tresckow; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in St. Joseph’s R.C. Cemetery, Hazleton.
