Donald Stefanisko Obituary

Donald J. Stefanisko, 84, of McAdoo, passed away Saturday evening at the Manor at St. Luke Village, Hazleton. 

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Kofchock) Stefanisko.

Donald was a devoted and faithful member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo. He was involved in the care and maintenance of the church, the parish activities, and always willing to help and support his church in any way.

Prior to retiring, Donald was first employed in the area garment industry, then Quality Control for JCPenney and lastly for Office Max. He was also a dedicated member of the PA National Guard.

Donald was a proud graduate of Penn State University, a member of the Alumni Association and a loyal fan of Penn State sports. He attended many PSU football games over the years. He was also a member of the McAdoo Fire Co. 

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his sister, Rita Prekopa and infant siblings, Evelyn and Richard.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Jean A. (Petrole) Stefanisko; son, Mark Stefanisko and wife Tracey, of Swedesboro, NJ; grandchildren, Luke and Taylor Stefansiko; sister, Marian Tyma, of Orlando, FL; and nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Saturday, February 22. The Rev. Barnabas Shayo will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. in Church of All Saints, McAdoo. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s R.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.

A calling hour will be held Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Church of All Saints, 35 N. Cleveland St., McAdoo, PA 18237.
