Dolores A. Givens, 90, of McAdoo, passed away Saturday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in McAdoo, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Helen (Kostick) Whiteko.
She was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo.
Prior to retiring, Dolores was a Registered Nurse, first employed at St. Luke’s of Bethlehem and later at St. Joseph’s and Hazleton General Hospital, of Hazleton.
Dolores was a McAdoo High School graduate, class of 1949, and a 1954 graduate of Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing, where she was a member of the Alumni Assoc.
She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, the Christian Women’s Assoc., and the Order of St. Francis Secular, Sybertsville.
Preceding her in death, were her husband William Givens; her first husband Nicholas Tirpak; brothers Nicholas Hollick, and Robert and Stephen Whiteko; and sister Anastacia Mascarell.
Surviving are her daughter Nancy Dunham and husband Chief Master Sgt. David Dunham, USAF, Ret., of Huntertown, IN; grandchildren Matthew, Lauren and Christine; great-grandchild McKenzie; and nieces and nephews also survive.
Private funeral services will be held, no public calling hours are scheduled.
