Daniel Henry, Jr., 80, of 30 E. Main Street, Junedale, passed away Sunday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Born in Junedale, he was the son of the Late Daniel and Catherine (Soditus) Henry, Sr.
Daniel was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Weatherly.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Prior to retiring, Daniel was employed as a manager with the PA Liquor Control Board.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Daniel enjoyed taking trips to area casinos.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were a daughter Nancy Sernak; sisters Ursula Kairewich and Dorothy DeAngelo; and brother Leon Henry, Sr.
Surviving, are his wife Virginia (O’Rourke) Henry, and they would have celebrated their 56th anniversary on Sunday; daughters Natalie Furlani and husband Gene of Kelayres; and Kathleen Storaska of Oneida; son Daniel Francis Henry of Junedale; grandchildren Jennifer Furlani, Ryan Sernak, Sarah and Kristin Storaska and Jacqueline Henry; sisters Eva and Esther Henry of Junedale, and Cathy Strahan and husband George of Texas; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
His funeral will be held Wednesday from the Damiano Funeral Home, Inc., Blaine and Cleveland Streets, McAdoo, at 10 a.m. Rev. Msgr. William Baker will be the celebrant of the Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Weatherly at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s R.C. Cemetery, Beaver Meadows.
A calling hour will be held Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
