Cletus J. Carey, Sr., 77, of Hazleton, passed away Sunday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Francis and Anne (McNelis) Carey.
Clete was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was of the Roman Catholic faith.
Clete was a 'jack of all trades', he was an accountant and silver extraction plant owner and also prior to retiring, he was a time-share manager.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his beloved granddaughters. He also loved to do cross-word puzzles and listen to music.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Sheila (Krinsky) Carey; his first wife Judith (Marsicano) Carey; and brothers Thomas and William Carey.
Surviving, are his son Cletus J. Carey, Jr., and his wife Tara of Hazleton; and daughter Jennifer Wesner and her husband Robert of McAdoo; granddaughters Mercedes, McKenzie and Marissa Wesner; sisters Cecelia Davis and her husband Edward of North Port, FL; and Mary Frances Logue and her husband James of Camp Hill; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
