Catherine ‘Kay’ Temprovich, 90, of McAdoo, affectionately known as ‘Baba’, was taken by the angels to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday morning.
Born in McAdoo, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Susan (Rondish) Artim.
Kay was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo. She was a devout catholic, practicing her faith and the love of God every day. She can be found saying the rosary daily and praying her devotion to the Divine Mercy.
Prior to retiring, she was employed in the area garment industry for over 40 years. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Kay was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed making all her grandchildren’s Halloween costumes. She also enjoyed crocheting and won many Blue Ribbons at the Bloomsburg Fair.
Most of all, Kay cherished being ‘Baba’ to her grandchildren. The love of her life and joy to her heart are her great-grandchildren, and her memory will live on through their hearts.
Preceding her in death, were her husband Louis F. Temprovich; sisters Mary Pellak and Suzanne Johnson; and brothers Joseph and Michael Artim.
Surviving are her daughter Mary Temprovich, of McAdoo; son Louis Temprovich and wife Debbie, of McAdoo; grandchildren L.J. Temprovich and Mallory Temprovich; great-grandchildren Taylynn, Bryson, Brady, and Gracelynn; sisters Betty Ann Porpiglia, of Hazleton, and Carol Wargo of Tresckow; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Her funeral will be held Friday. Rev. Msgr. William Baker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial in Church of All Saints, McAdoo, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s R.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.
A calling hour will be held Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
