Bernadine M. (Befano) Schmeer

Bernadine M. Schmeer, 75, of Kelayres, passed away suddenly Monday. 

Born in Kelayres, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Stranko) Befano.

She was of the Roman Catholic faith. 

Bernadine was an avid reader. In her younger days, she was active with the McAdoo Little League.

Bernadine was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed.

Preceding her in death, was her son Mark S. Schmeer, Sr., great-granddaughter Sophia Schmeer, brother Louis Befano, and sister Elizabeth A. Ciccozzi.

Surviving, are her son Richard Schmeer of McAdoo; grandchildren Mark S. Schmeer, Jr.; Amber Sones and husband Brian; Shauna Mesaric and husband Daniel; Aaron Schmeer and partner Lauren Peifer; and Shannon Schmeer; twelve great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews also survive.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. 

The Damiano Funeral Home, Inc., McAdoo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
