August J. Rouse

August J. Rouse, 93, of McAdoo, passed away Friday at his home.

            Born in McAdoo, he was the son of the late August and Mildred (Thomas) Rouse.

            August was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.

            Prior to retiring, he was employed at Dorr-Oliver, Hazleton, for many years.

            Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his wife of 70 years, Ruth (Evans) Rouse; son A.J. Rouse; grandson August Rouse IV; sisters Mary Wiegand, and Helen Zellner; and brother James Rouse.

            Surviving, are daughters, Mildred Rubinate and husband Jerome, of Hazleton; Alys Schultz and husband Stephen, of Virginia Beach, VA; Mary Lou Cerullo and husband Nicholas, of Haddock; and Jane McNamara and husband Dennis, of New Milford; daughter-in-law Helen Rouse, of McAdoo; grandchildren Melissa Vaughan, Ruth Ann Rich, Sarah Robinson, Nicole Farrell, Samantha Hovanec, Erin Yancey and Alison McNamara; great-grandchildren Evan and Ella Vaughan, Emerson Robinson, Eian Rich, Abigail and August John Rouse V, and Hudson Hovanec; brother Joseph Rouse and wife Frances of Levittown; and many nieces and nephews survive.

            Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
