Anthony B. “Tony” Fudge, 67, of McAdoo, adored father, fantastic brother, amazing grandfather, great mailman and wonderful friend, passed away at home on Sunday, May 30.
Born September 14, 1953, in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Anthony J. and Angeline R. (Tomaino) Fudge.
Tony attended McAdoo Catholic Schools and graduated from Marian Catholic High School, class of 1971. He also attended Williamsport College.
He was a devoted catholic and was a member of All Saints Parish, McAdoo.
Tony was employed at the McAdoo Post Office. Everyone who knew him will say he was a great employee. He loved his job and did it extremely well. He will be truly missed and forever in our hearts.
Tony loved yelling at sports on TV, especially Notre Dame football. Star Trek, NASCAR, Las Vegas sunshine, Garth Brooks and sitting on the front porch really made him happy. He never met a marshmallow peep he didn’t like.
He leaves behind two daughters, Candace Fudge-Perez and husband Paul, of Beijing, China, and Caitlin Fudge-Fico and husband Joseph, of Las Vegas; sister Patricia Smith, of McAdoo; granddaughter Gabriella and grandsons Skylar, Jonah, Dean Anthony, Dominic, JoVanni and Dimitri; nephews, a niece; and countless children who called him Uncle Tony.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Damiano Funeral Home, Inc., Blaine and Cleveland Sts., McAdoo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Church of All Saints, McAdoo, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s R.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Service attendees are encouraged to honor Tony by donning their best Notre Dame Blue and Gold.
