Andrew J. Yenchick, 59, of Hazle Twp., passed away Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Hazleton, he is the son of Andrew “Sonny” Yenchick of Hazleton and the late Mary Ellen (Greybosh) Yenchick.
Andy was a member of Holy Rosary R. C. Church, Hazleton.
He was employed by Perchak Trucking Co. as a Truck Driver.
Andy was a hardworking man. He enjoyed playing lotteries and games of chance. He most enjoyed spending time with his son.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his mother, were his daughter Crystal Kester; sister Linda Yenchick; brother James J. Yenchick; nephew Michael Benyo; and brother-in-law Joseph Kukowski.
Surviving, in addition to his father, Sonny, are his son Andrew R. Yenchick of Tamaqua; daughters Candice Cotterman, Cindy Yenchick, both of Mainville, and Chastity Yenchick of Elysburg; several grandchildren; sister Diane Benyo and husband Mark of Hazle Twp.; sister Sharon Kukowski of Hazleton; sister-in-law Melissa Yenchick of Hazleton; brother-in-law Tony Durso of Bloomsburg; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 1: 30 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
A private visitation will be held at the Damiano Funeral Home, Inc., McAdoo, PA.
