Andrew Basil Seroka, 71, of New Ringgold, passed away Thursday morning at home.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Petruncio) Seroka.
Andrew was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul B.C. Church, Beaver
Meadows.
He was a farmer for over 40 years working on the family farm. He played professional baseball in 1970-71 for the Detroit Tigers organization.
He also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
He was a loving and devoted father and his greatest joy in life was being PopPop to his 7 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death, are his wife Jeanette (Seliga) Seroka; brothers John and Joseph Seroka; and sister Mary Ellen Seroka.
Surviving, are his daughters Christine Frederick and husband Jason of Bethlehem Twp.; Stephanie Metters and husband Scott of New Ringgold; and Margaret Speicher and husband Chad of Lafayette Hills; grandchildren Carli, Caitlyn and Jason Frederick; Andrew and Ryan Metters; and Josie and Wyatt Speicher; brother Michael Seroka of McAdoo; and nieces and nephews also survive.
His funeral will be held Monday. The Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in Ss. Peter and Paul B.C. Church, Beaver Meadows. Fr. James Demko will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
